Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off
The 21st Annual Mexico Beach Gumbo Cook-Off is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2020, beginning at 10:00 am at Boat Ramp Park. The competition will feature various types of gumbo and Brunswick stew for attendees and judges to sample. Admission is free, and attendees have the opportunity to purchase tickets to taste the cook-off entries, with other foods and beverages available for purchase as well. Live music and free beads will add to the fun Mardi Gras mood of the event. All proceeds raised from the Gumbo Cook-Off will help to cover the costs of Mexico Beach’s Best Blast on the Beach July 4th fireworks show.
